Programme Leader - Sports Studies

As an inspirational leader you’ll be responsible for providing an outstanding student experience through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. You will ensure the provision of first class student resources and will be essentially responsible for everyone in your area and the students and learners. Your job is managing your physical and human resources, you’ll lead, agree and set targets, maintain and set high standards, motivate, monitor and performance manage all staff in your area. Although you will work to others, be supported, work in a wider College team, you will embed equality and quality, ensure the curriculum is relevant, refreshed, and up to date and enable staff and students to achieve. Whilst you’ll be focused on maintaining the College’s excellent results, you’ll be mindful that your students will need to be able to navigate in a multicultural world, that they gain skills and qualifications and employability skills that leads to good outcomes in terms of future destination data, all under scored by excellent student feedback. You will ideally be educated to degree level and have proven academic management experience. You will be able to demonstrate a record of achievements in teaching and learning and evidence the successful implementation of innovative curriculum developments. You will be an outstanding communicator and at ease liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders to progress key plans.
