Facilities

Moulton College boasts excellent facilities within the construction subject area. Extensive specialist workshops are available on site for the training of craft level operatives and this also provides higher education construction students with the opportunity to explore ‘hands on’ activities and to actually practice what is delivered theoretically. The newly refurbished gas assessment centre enables students to be assessed for the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) Gas Fitting Certificate. The accreditation of Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) status in this area is further evidence of the standard of teaching, learning and of the facilities on offer at Moulton.

Extensive use is made within the course of the vast College estate, and buildings on the estate are used for project work in many of the modules studied. Specialist laboratories and equipment are employed for the teaching of surveying and environmental science modules and visiting guest speakers provide specific input to modules to further enhance the delivery.

The integral computer suites have industry standard software for project management, cost estimating, and computer aided drafting and design (CAD). The well-equipped drawing office enables the traditional skill of drafting to be practiced.

Courses

Students are encouraged throughout their course to undertake additional qualifications alongside their main qualification.
