Course Details
BTEC National Award in Sport Outdoor AdventureCourse ContentThis programme is designed to appeal to learners who wish to further an interest in practical outdoor and adventurous activities at the same time as studying subjects relevant to working in the outdoor industry. A range of study methods is used including lectures and tutorials in addition to a comprehensive range of outdoor and adventurous activities such as skiing, mountain-biking, orienteering, kayaking and sailing. Continuous assessment includes assignments, written and practical tests and a work experience placement at Longtown Outdoor Centre in South Wales. Career OpportunitiesStudents may progress onto the National Diploma in Sport (Outdoor Adventure) or alternatively students may seek employment within the many sectors of the outdoor industry.
