Holdenby Countryside Education CentreThe centre is run by Moulton College and is located on the beautiful Holdenby estate, which surrounds the historic Holdenby House. There are woodlands, ponds, fields and hedgerows to explore as well as the Bird of Prey Centre. Holdenby offers a range of full day visits from Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 3. Our carefully planned programmes are linked with the National Curriculum and aim to provide both teachers and pupils with an educational and exciting experience of the countryside. Programmes aim to be flexible to fulfil your requirements. There are two options for a day visit to Holdenby. Day programmes are topic based activities within a set programme. These tend to be quite broad and fit in with a variety of topics. Alternatively teachers can create their own day by choosing from our extensive list of individual activities. These gives an extra element of flexibility, which allows teachers to tailor-make a programme to suit their classes' needs. The centre can cater for single class groups up to a maximum of 35 children in one session. Introductory VisitsThe Schools Centre Teacher is available to visit your school to meet with staff and tell you more about the centre and school programmes. If you would like a member of the Moulton Schools Team to visit you, please contact Holdenby Countryside Education Centre. The centre is also open for your staff to visit to find out more about our programmes for schools. Once again, please phone us to organise a convenient time.
