HIAB Training Course

Candidates must have the required driving licence for the vehicle they are training on.
Candidates receive full licences and certificates on passing along with a manual.
A maximum of 3 delegates per course.

Aim of the course

The aim of the course is to provide training and knowledge in the safe and efficient operation of this specialist equipment.

The course is spent on developing skills and knowledge associated with this type of machine.

Theory

Statutory Requirements
Relevant Legislation
Safe Working
Loads Stability

Practical

Introduction to the machine
Operator checks and maintenance
Practical Remedial Training
Practical Operating Skills Test
Theory Test

Notebook and pen
Safety boots and warm and practical clothing

All other materials are provided by the College

General Notes - College Facilities

The college has excellent modern facilities including a learning resources centre; Library, IT Centre and learning support if needed. While you are on the course you will become a temporary student and so will be encouraged to use these facilities to the full free. Hot and cold meals are always available from the Refectory at Main Campus, as well as, snacks which are also available from the Coffee Shop's at our Holcot and Pitsford Centres.
