Rough Terrain Telescopic Fork Lift Course

Aim of the course

The aim of the course is to provide training in the safe use of telescopic fork lift trucks that are used both on the farm and construction sites. Prepare the candidates for both ITSSAR or the NPTC MO8 assessment as required., which is incorporated in to the end of the course. Candidates of a mature nature must be able to read and write and be able to understand charts and graphs. Preferably with a construction or farming background. Previous experience on smaller lift trucks would be considered an advantage for this type of vehicle.

The course is spent on developing skills and knowledge.

Legal requirements and safety regulations
Function of controls & instruments
Routine maintenance
Safety
Operation of truck

Notebook and pen
2 Passport photographs
Overalls and safety boots

All other materials are provided by the College

General Notes - College Facilities

The college has excellent modern facilities including a learning resources centre; Library, IT Centre and learning support if needed. While you are on the course you will become a temporary student and so will be encouraged to use these facilities to the full free. Hot and cold meals are always available from the Refectory at Main Campus, as well as, snacks which are also available from the Coffee Shop's at our Holcot and Pitsford Centres.
