Sport and Exercise Science.

Research Interests and Current Research

Dean's research interests centre around the physiology of team sports, focussing predominantly on the physiology of high-intensity intermittent exercise. His past research has included investigating the effect of biological maturity on field test and match performance of young academy footballers. Dean completed his MSc in Sports Science at Loughborough University and is currently undertaking research towards a PhD. This current research involves investigating interventions to attenuate the negative effects of an acute bout of high intensity exercise on the performance of skills in football.
