Areas of Teaching Expertise

Equine Behaviour, Sports Psychology for the Rider, Equine Exercise Physiology, Health and Disease and General Anatomy and Physiology.

Research Interests and Current Research

Previous research has concentrated on equine behaviour. Previous research has considered the effect of exercise duration on stable behaviour and more recently the effect of sports psychology techniques on the rider during a show jumping competition, and the effect of this on horse performance.

Other research interests include the application of equine therapies to behaviour and stereotypic behaviour in horses.
