Northampton Saints and Moulton College Launch Education Partnership

Northampton Saints England Rugby Academy and Moulton College in Northamptonshire have joined together to create an education partnership to support young rugby players.

Through the new link, Academy players can access a wide range of courses at Moulton, and other local Institutions, ranging from Sports Studies, Construction Management, Equine Studies, Horticulture, and a large selection of GCE “A” levels. The College has already begun its support of the club by making its rugby pitches available for Academy matches.

The link officially was launched at the ‘Saints’ game against NEC Harlequins at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday, November 23, 2002 where the Saints won 35-7.

Northampton Saints England Academy manager Andy Street said: “It is important that the club can work with education partners such as Moulton College to try to develop these young players off the pitch as well as on it. We are keen to develop courses to meet the special requirements of Academy players.
