To 12 College staff who have been awarded the Certificate in Further Education – some of the first people in the Country to receive the qualification!
The new course which is accredited under the Further Education National Training Organisation (FENTO) standards is in three stages, and for the past year teacher-training students at the College have been studying towards the final stage of the qualification.
12 members of staff have now successfully completed stage three and hve achieved the newly introduced status of ‘qualified teacher of further education’ QTFE!
Course Manager John Sumner said ‘ This is a great achievement for staff who have gained this qualification, and for Moulton in helping to set the standard for the fully qualified FE teachers of the future.’
