Special Features and Awards

During 2002, the College was delighted to be awarded "Centre of Vocational Excellence" status for the Construction industry. This award recognises the quality of provision and resources in this subject, and has enabled the College to further develop both the physical resources, and the range of qualifications available. This prestigious designation was the Learning and Skills Council's (LSC) way of indicating to potential students those institutions that have a record of delivering high quality provision, and achieving above average success with National Qualifications.

Further recognition was provided by the Department for Education and Skills in 2004, when the College was awarded Learning and Skills Beacon status. At the time this prestigious award had been given to only a handful of colleges in the whole of the Country.

During 2008, the College was inspected by Ofsted, who judged the College to be 'Outstanding' and to 'Provide Outstanding Value for Money'.
