Former Northampton Saints player Ben Cohen officially opened the Chris Moody Centre for Sports Therapy and Injury Rehabilitation at Moulton College. The state of the art centre is the first in the UK and the centre’s main aim is to become a centre of excellence in providing neuromuscular rehabilitation. Rowers, triathletes, footballers and rugby players are expected to be among the athletes being treated at the college.
It is the first to be built in the UK and the second in Europe. It comprises world class sports therapy and rehabilitation facilities, such as a whole body cryotherapy chamber and thermal suite, a hyperbaric chamber and a rehabilitation suite, as well as a hydrotherapy and water therapy pool. There is also access to a unique 25m swimming pool with a moving floor.
There are six large consulting rooms to let, which are specifically built to conform to CQC standards and overlook the rolling countryside.
The Centre will provide:
A comfortable, safe base for clinicians wanting to build a business in private practice.
For established Clinicians, the opportunity to use world class rehabilitation facilities that they may not have at their Clinic, as an adjunct to the service they already provide.
Elite athletes, sports clubs and medical staff with access to ground breaking facilities to aid rehabilitation and training schedules.
