Congratulations to Moulton student Tom Stephenson,
on captaining England U18s to victory against
Scotland! Tom captained the England Under-18s for
the first time on Sunday 18th March 2012 and it was
a good day for the 17-year-old as his side emerged
20-8 victors against Scotland. He has recently been
recruited to the Saints Senior Academy for2012-13.
Also, Moulton College students Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi
and Reece Marshall have featured regularly for
England U18 this year with Howard Packman also
recently promoted to the squad.
Centre Stephenson, 17, has been a regular for
both the Saints Academy and Wanderers this term
and was delighted with the experience as a whole.
“It was a great moment for me,” he commented. “I
loved every minute of the whole weekend and to get
the win as well just topped it off. I have captained

with the role but that’s something I enjoyed
and hope to do again in the future. It was a massive
"It’s obviously the highest level I can play at my age
and the standard of opposition is pretty high. It’s a
similar story within the camp and training though.
We set the bar high and it’s something that along
with my development at the Saints has been hugely
positive. There’s constant contact between England
and Alan Dickens and Mark Hopley at the Saints
which makes both environments the best possible
places for me to be learning."
