Giles Howard enrolled on the National Diploma in Arboriculture in September 2006. He chose to study arboriculture as he wanted a career that allowed him to use his brain, but also has a lot of hands on work. Giles achieved distinctions throughout the programme, alongside all his Key Skills and additional qualifications in chainsaw maintenance, felling small trees, tree climbing and aerial rescue and operating a chainsaw from a rope and harness. He has also represented the College for two years as part of the Moulton College Tree Climbing Team and has been a great ambassador for the College in this respect. Giles intends to work for a few years before considering studying a Foundation Degree in Arboriculture.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my two years at Moulton College and have learnt many technical and theoretical skills that will help me in my future career".
