Student Profiles - Neil Taylor

Neil Taylor

Neil Taylor

Neil Taylor came to Moulton College after learning about arboriculture following a spell working with a tree surgeon in his home town of Stoke-on-Trent.

Neil completed his National Diploma in Arboriculture at Moulton College with excellent results in 2010 and furthermore collected a few prizes and experiences along the way.

During his time at Moulton College Neil was a member of the Moulton College Tree Climbing Team and had many triumphs as part of the team. These successes included helping the College team to win the ISA Student Tree Climbing Competition when it was hosted at Moulton College in 2010 and also winning the individual Student Championship. In addition to this Neil won the novice class at a senior competition as well as at the Arboricultural Association ‘Arb Show’.

Neil enjoyed the course and is now working full time for his student placement employer in Stoke. He also worked for a Moulton based arboriculturist during term time.

"The course was great it gave me a look into all the other areas of Arboriculture that I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I made a lot of friends and would recommend it to anyone thinking of going into arboriculture."

Moulton College wishes Neil every success with his future endeavours and we expect to see him competing in professional tree climbing competitions in the future.
