"I started my career as a Carpentry lecturer in July 2008 and started a PTLLS (preparing to teach in the Lifelong Learning sector)qualification at Moulton College. This gave me lots of ideas about teaching and allowed me to progress onto the Certificate in Education, also run by Moulton. Both of these courses helped me immensely in my job role in that they gave me a good understanding of roles and responsibilities and enabled me to develop my teaching practice. Throughout the courses, help, support and guidance given by the teacher education tutors has been invaluable for me asa new teacher. Whilst undertaking these awards, I also completed two ICT qualifications at the college and I am extremely proud of these, as before I started teaching, I had never used a computer.I also completed an A1 assessors award during 2009 with the teacher Training team at Moulton and this has developed my skills as an assessor.

I qualified as a teacher in July 2010 and am now looking forward to continuing my personal development by completing an internal verifiers award (V1), completing a mentor training programme and am looking to start a Masters in Education in the future"
