Funding for Apprentices

The Sir Thomas White Trust

This independent charitable trust offers financial support to apprentices studying at Moulton College. Applicants must have been living in Northampton for the last 5 years, be aged 25 or under and their household income must not exceed £28,000 per annum. Support is awarded in the form of contributions towards the cost of:

  •          Essential trade tools
  •          College bus pass
  •          Travelling to your place of work
  •          An additional professional qualification relevant to your apprenticeship

Funding for stonemasonry and carpentry students

If you are aged 19 or over and wanting to become a Stonemasonry or Carpentry apprentice, you may be eligible for a bursary from the Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI). The project is a Heritage Lottery funded scheme that enables the Borough Council of Wellingborough to provide opportunities for training. The bursary is for up to £500 to help pay for training and up to £100 to help with tools.

The bursary is for up to £500 to help pay for training at Moulton or an alternate supplier and up to £100 to help with tools. The bursary can be used to fund either full time courses or the cost of short courses to build heritage skills.
