The Moulton College furniture design team were approached by Creaton Parish Council around this time last year as they were keen to have a new village sign commissioned.
Our 3rd year students took on the project as part of the collaborative working element of their course. A number of concepts and designs were submitted with the Council finally deciding on the design from Sam Brister.
The students as a group were responsible for the production schedule including lettering and imagery produced using technology which was programmed by the students.
With the amount of course work that they had to complete, the project was not quite finished at the end of their course so this year’s 3rd year students took up the challenge and completed the sign.
The new village sign was erected a couple of weeks back and the Parish Council have forwarded their thanks and confirmed that they have had a lot of positive feedback from Creaton residents.
Since the sign was erected, the College has been approached by Spratton Parish Council who were obviously so impressed with the work that they have enquired about a new notice board for their village.
