Towards the end of last term students from our Higham Centre collected food items to contribute to The Ferrers School Christmas Hamper Appeal.
A group of Moulton students alongside LRC Assistant Sonia Walker and Animal Welfare Lecturer Hannah Cumberpatch visited with the The Ferrers School to distribute the 96 hampers to elderly residents in the Higham Ferrers area. Biscuits were delivered to a care home in Higham, and also tins of food were donated to the foodbank in Rushden.
The students thoroughly enjoyed handing out the hampers and noticed the residents appreciation for not just the hampers but the time they gave to talk to them as well.
Thank you to both our staff and students for getting involved and for the donations we received. With the number of hampers increasing year on year alongside The Ferrers School we hope to be able to deliver even more hampers to the local residents for Christmas 2017.
Moulton also took part in collections for both the Daventry DC Comfort and Joy campaign which provided food and toiletries to people staying in refuges across Northamptonshire, and the Animals in Need Christmas appeal.
