Successful start to the cricket season for Ewan Cox

Moulton College Cricket Academy student Ewan Cox has enjoyed a spectacular start to the cricket season after moving from his boyhood club Finedon to Haughton House.

On Ewan’s debut appearance for Haughton House Cricket Club in the Northants Premier Division he scored 100 and has become a key figure for his new side with a high score of 152.

Ewan has been one of the highest run scorers in the division and his fantastic start to the season has been recognised by Northants Cricket Club who have awarded Ewan with a senior academy contract. Ewan has represented NCC second team in a number of three day fixtures with a healthy average of 40 and a high score of 64.

Ewan commented “‘it’s nice to have made a successful start to the season and I will strive hard to further improve. I really appreciate the excellent coaching support I've had from Northants coach Kevin Innes and Moulton College. Likewise I am grateful to Horton House CC who immediately made me feel at home and made it easy to enjoy my cricket and succeed.”

Head of cricket Samuel De Prisco commented “Ewan is a fantastic student who works hard and balances his education with his Cricketing commitments very well and it is good to see him achieving well in both aspects of his study programme. I am sure he will continue this success into the summer and we look forward to welcoming him back in September.”
