We’re thrilled to welcome Matthew Cappell as the new Programme Leader for Construction.
Matt, who has a background in carpentry was self-employed by the age of 18 and has worked as a tradesman all over the UK. His roles throughout the years have taken him from working as a technician, to lecturing and assessing before he landed his dream role at Moulton in December.
A firm believer in the potential of Construction as a sound career, Matt is keen to change perceptions associated with the industry.
‘Careers in Construction often don’t get the recognition they deserve. I want all of my students to aspire for greatness and realise that a career in this industry offers the same, if not better prospects than other sectors.’
Matt wants to encourage all of his students to be the best they can be, and is passionate about driving the Construction programme at the college forward.
‘We offer a range of artisan courses here at Moulton, and there’s huge potential for our students to complete high level projects. Since my arrival in December i’ve already seen some outstanding work, and I’ll be working with the lecturers and support staff to ensure this continues’.
