Moulton College Animal Welfare Centre has received confirmation that is has been approved under the Balai Directive. The approval now means that the Centre is accepted and free to move various animals between other Balai approved centres.

The Animal Therapy Centre at Moulton College has long been a centre of excellence for animal rehabilitation and exercise; however with demand for hydrotherapy treatments at an all time high, the need for additional resources has never been more pressing so the recent introduction of a second aquatic treadmill at the Therapy Centre is proving to be a welcome addition.

Students from Moulton College have been hard at work planning and planting a range of floral projects for this year’s bloom competition around Northampton town centre. The judges awarded Northampton a ‘Silver Gilt’ award as well as two special judges awards for “making the whole town bloom” and “making a difference both to the environment and to people’s lives”.

Ellie Robinson of Northampton Swimming Club, won gold in the women's S6 50m butterfly at the Paralympics in Rio on Friday 9th September 2016 aged just 15 years old. Her swim time of 35.58 seconds was a new record at the 15th Paralympic Games.

Fish, dogs and cats are the most commonly owned creatures, but more unusual pets like slow lorises, pygmy hedgehogs and miniature pigs are crawling, burrowing and walking their way into the nation's homes.

Three Moulton College Basketball Academy students represented the East Midland Regional Basketball team at the Under 17 Inter-Regional Development Tournament held at the National Performance Centre in Manchester.

After the publication of a rather striking image last month in the National Geographic taken by photographer Nick Upton from our ongoing research project on the conservation of British mammals, the College was pleased to hear that more of Nick’s pictures have resulted in him claiming top prize in the hard fought ‘best documentary series’ category.
