Apprenticeships - Floristry

This framework is available as an Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship. On completion of your Initial Training Period, attendance at college will be on a day release basis. The qualification is gained through a combination work based assessments and practical training and exams completed at college. You will need to work at a Floristry Shop.

You will Gain

  • NVQ in Floristry level 2 or 3
  • NPTC Level 3 Certificate in Floristry (Advanced Apprenticeship)
  • Key Skills
  • Emergency First Aid

The apprenticeship will focus on floristry designs including wedding, funeral and flower arrangement. The skills required to become competent in the retail industry, customer contact and stock control. The average duration of the apprenticeship is two years.

The advanced apprenticeship will focus on management and negotiation skills, advanced floristry and international design. Keys skills include Working with others and Improving own learning at Level 3. The average duration of the apprenticeship is two years.

Special Features

The College offers first class practical facilities. The apprenticeship includes Floristry Skills Competition Work as recognised by the Association of Floristry Teachers, The Society of Florists or the floristry relay organisations.

Apprenticeship Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. You will need to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm at interview and have acceptable references.
