At Moulton College, we value the transparency of our processes, an approach designed to help us govern quality assurance and enhancement at all times.

As a provider of Higher Education, we undergo a number of external review processes that assist in safeguarding public interest in standards of Higher Education qualifications. Such processes also help us to work towards continuous improvement in the management quality and the provision and delivery of our Higher Education programmes.

Higher Education Quality Handbook

The Higher Education Quality Handbook is a collection of documents which acts as a central referral point for staff, employers, partner organisations and prospective or current students to access if further information is required about a range of Higher Education issues.

These documents are designed to give you an insight into the Codes of Practice, regulations, policies and guidelines that exist at Moulton College for all matters relating to Higher Education (programmes of Level 4 or above such as HE certificates, Higher Nationals, Foundation Degrees, Honours Degrees and Post Graduate awards.

Please note that the College does not maintain it’s own Higher Education transfer policy because our agreement with our validating partner requires that we refer all requests for transfer to them.

The information published in this document shows:

  • The number of applications for admission on to recognised, undergraduate higher education
  • Courses that we have received from UK domiciled applicants
  • The number of offers we have made in relation to those applications
  • The number of those offers accepted and the number of those who have registered with us
  • The number of students who attained a particular degree or other academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with us.

It also shows these numbers by reference to:

  • The gender of the individuals to which they relate
  • Their ethnicity
  • Their socio-economic background
  • It is important to note that the data presented has not been contextualised, This means, for example, that you will bot be able to see from this data how many of those applying to courses met the entry criteria, It is also the case that universities and colleges will often receive many more applications than they have spaces on courses and so offer rates will necessarily be lower than application rates in those circumstances.
