Following the 100% success rate of the first cohort), the college is now recruiting for the next Foundation in Agronomy (Agriculture) course which starts on 27th November 2017. We are offering an early bird price of £780 to those who enrol and pay by 31st August 2017. After this date, the price will be £825.
This course provides a sound introduction to agronomy, integrated protection and crop nutrition – a stepping stone for those who wish to train as an agronomist. Also a stand- alone course for those who require a level of understanding of crop agronomy appropriate for their work. Click here for more information.
A possible progression route for those who have achieved the Foundation in Agronomy (Agriculture), or have a basic prior agronomic knowledge of the production of key arable crops and grassland, is the Fertiliser Advisor Certification and Training Scheme (FACTS). This award is the standard industry qualification for those selling or advising on the use of crop fertilisers. The course assumes a basic prior agronomic knowledge of the production of key arable crops and grassland. The course will then build on these key principles with relation to crop nutrition. The course is suitable for advisors, agronomists, farmers and farm managers who are looking to further their knowledge and be able to provide recommendations for fertiliser use.
The college is pleased to offer this new 5-day course in January 2018.
