The first year will lay the groundwork needed to study ecology from individuals to ecosystems. There is a grounding in Conservation Biology and Animal Behaviour as well as time to learn those all important HE Study Skills needed to succeed at this level.
In the second year you will get a good grounding in Research Methods for biosciences, build upon your knowledge of Conservation Biology, Field Ecology and study the evolution of biodiversity in Origins of Biodiversity. There is a specialist module on Avian Ecology and Conservation and some practical modules to choose from.
In your final year you will study advanced Conservation Biology and Life on a Warming Planet as well as having some module choice, those elective modules include Zoos and Aquaria in the 21st Century and Greening the Grey. You will also get the opportunity to work on your own independent research project.
