National Diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness)
April has completed the two year National Diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness) in July 2011 with a Merit Merit Pass (MMP) grade overall. April worked hard to achieve the results she did on the course and was very thankful for all the academic support she received from both the note-takers and the Communication Support Workers during her studies at the College.
The College provided me with a Communication Support Worker which enabled me to make the most of my time at the College. I thorough enjoyed the course, which at times was challenging, and I feel that I have really benefited by being a student at the College.I also really enjoyed being a member of the Moulton College female football team and I will miss all the camaraderie!
Not only has April been successful within the classroom, she has also achieved the highest accolade possible on the sports field. Earlier in 2011, April was selected to represent Great Britain in the Inaugural European Deaf Women's Football Championship held in Albena in Bulgaria. April represented Great Britain in football against two formidable opponents, Russia and Germany. April scored Great Britain's first goal of the tournament and was also named player of the match when playing Germany!
April is looking forward to implementing both the knowledge acquired from her studies at Moulton College and the experience gained during her time in Bulgaria in the 2012 World Football Championships to be held in Turkey. We wish April all the best in her future endeavours!
