Four Moulton College students won prizes at the recent Fleurex event held by the British Florist Association in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Candice Wickham, Sarah Claridge and Kirsty McGilley were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively for their work designing tiaras to go with Alexander McQueen, Dolce and Gabbana and Burberry collections.
Annie West, also a Floristry Level 3 student, won 3rd prize for her design of a table arrangement for the Woodland Trust.
In addition to their success in the event’s competitions, the girls also participated in master classes and watched international demonstrators from around the world. They were particularly inspired by the work of Cales Fontanillas from Spain.
