Between 2015 and 2020 there is likely to be significant funding made available to support agricultural development and diversification in Northamptonshire through a new EU scheme called the LEADER programme.
The scheme aims to support development of the rural economy by providing rural businesses with funds which will allow them to develop initiatives to increase local employment and drive other benefits.
Funding could help provide support for:
• Micro and small enterprises and farm diversification
• Increasing farm productivity
• Rural tourism
• Increasing forestry productivity
• The provision of rural services
• Cultural and heritage activity
