The event was supported by 90 young volunteers from local schools across the county. Having completed a training programme prior to the event, they helped Northamptonshire Sport and Sports National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) with the smooth running of the Games at Moulton College.

Robbie Speirs, Commercial Manager for Moulton College said: “This is the fourth consecutive year that Moulton has proudly hosted the games and they have undoubtedly been a real success. The excellent sporting facilities at the College provide a wonderful sporting backdrop for the benefit of hundreds of young people from across Northamptonshire.”

The Northamptonshire School Games is part of the Sainsburys School Games Programme; an Olympic Legacy programme now in its third year. For the schools taking part it was the culmination of 4 months of inter-school and intra-school competitions within each of the 5 Northamptonshire School Sport Partnerships, the winners of which represented their School Sport Partnership.
