Staff and their families were invited to face their fears at a Halloween themed event at Moulton College. The Animal Welfare Centre held up-close sessions with some of its spookier residents including snakes, spiders and rats. Face Your Fears was the first event of its kind of the college, but will be open to the public from next year.
Participants had the opportunity to learn more about phobias and responses to certain animals. They then had the chance to get hands-on with their chosen fear and even had a photo opportunity to show their friends.
Attendee Steve Middleton commented: “I learned quite a bit during the event and actually found it really informative. I’m really glad I did it and I can tick that off my bucket list! It will be great to open this kind of event out to the public next year”.
Participants were invited to make a donation towards the Fen Raft Spider Conservation Project that is currently being run by Chester Zoo. See more pictures from the Face Your Fears event on our Facebook page.
