Moulton College have agreed a three year partnership agreement with Northampton Town Football Club from the start of the 2016/17 season. NTFC are no strangers to Moulton College, however this fresh agreement brings together a closer working arrangement with the club to inject additional infrastructure to further improve the already impressive sports facilities.
The College will continue to host all of the clubs teams from under 9s through to the first team squad for both girls and boys teams.
The Principal of Moulton College, Stephen Davies and the Chairman of the football club, Kelvin Thomas have agreed to enter into an attractive partnership arrangement that offers both organisations the ability to further enhance the opportunities for both Moulton students and the clubs players.
Additional drainage will be installed into the sport pitches as well as an investment in the Colleges existing third generation artificial pitch. The 3G pitch was the first to be installed in the County and is now ready for a new playing surface to be installed. Work is planned to take place in August in time for the start of the students return to College in September.
Principal Stephen Davies says 'Our new partnership with NTFC is great news for the College, the club and the local community. We are proud that the club has recognised that not only do we offer superb pitch facilities but also the highest quality sports therapy facilities within our dedicated Sports Therapy and Injury Rehabilitation centre. We very much look forward to welcoming NTFC back to Moulton for the start of the next season'.
