Second year Sports and Exercise Sciences student Lucy Castle, will be braving the treacherous task of her first ever skydive from 13,000ft in the coming weeks in order to help raise money for a charitable project.
Moulton College sports studies lecturer Emily Woodward will be heading to Cambodia on the 28th March as part of a personal aim to provide access for local children to sports equipment. This trip is something that Emily is extremely passionate about and with the help of Moulton College, has been able to set up the ‘SPOrT: The Difference’ project which will allow for new sports equipment to be personally delivered by Emily to the children of the rural townships.
In readiness for the experience of her life Lucy has been gathering sponsorship around the college which will go towards Emily’s trip to Cambodia. The sum that has been raised will help towards new equipment and also the cost of shipping it out.
Lucy stated ‘Carrying out the skydive whilst also being able to raise money for a good cause will allow myself to give back to an enthusiastic lecturer who has always gone out of her way to help myself and many others throughout our time at the college’.
Sports and Exercise Students would like to wish both Emily and Lucy good luck with the experiences that they both face within the next few weeks.
