Stowe Farmhouse Gardens

On Thursday 18th April the Skills for Working Life Group visited the Moulton College raised beds in Stowe Farmhouse Gardens.

With the guidance of the gardeners at Stowe they dug trenches, planted potatoes and sowed broad beans as well as carrying out some general duties including weeding.  The students were given some heritage seeds of borlotti beans, cabbage, onion and celery to take back to sow at the college and once the plants are big enough, the students will return to Stowe Farmhouse Gardens and plant out the  vegetables and carry out some more general gardening duties.

A great day in some much needed spring sunshine was had by all.
