Level 3 Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness student Matthew Cooper has begun fundraising in preparation for the BUPA London 10 000; Matthew is aiming to raise at least £250 for the CLIC Sargent charity. The charity strives to improve the lives of young people with cancer and the continued support from individuals such as Matthew ensures that their services can be maintained.
The BUPA London 10 000 race is organised by London Marathon Ltd and Nova Ltd and will be taking place on 27th May. The route passes many of London’s famous sights including Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
Moulton Sports Development, Caching and Fitness Course Manager said:
“It is always fantastic to see Moulton College students getting involved with charitable causes. This event provides Matthew with the opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause whilst participating in a sport he excels in.”
The competition will be tough but Matthew’s recent successes in securing a place on the Northants County Cross Country team will put him in a good position to ensure that his goals for this event are met.
An update of Matthew’s accomplishment in terms of both monies raised, position and time will be announced on the Moulton College website shortly after the event on 27th May.
