Despite the cold weather and the fog, last week saw over one hundred Moulton College Agricultural students attend the 2013 LAMMA machinery show at the Newark Showground.
Students made the most of this opportunity to see the latest farm machinery and state-of-the-art equipment. They were also able to carry out research for their upcoming assignments in modules such as Crop Production, Livestock Husbandry and Agricultural Spreaders and Sprayers. The Extended Diploma Farm Mechanisation cohort also took the opportunity to try out new workshop equipment, particularly the wide range of welding units on display.
The students felt that being able to see the advanced technology on offer and discuss machinery operations with the major manufacturers was a great opportunity.
Favourite stands for this year were the major tractor manufacturers as students were given the chance to explore new models and to test out those all-important extras in the cab!
