Moulton College Students help Mend Broken Hearts

Thirty Moulton Golf Academy Students are taking part in the British Heart Foundation Junior Golf Championship for London, the Home Counties and East Anglia and are aiming to raise £500 for the Mending Broken Hearts appeal.

The Northamptonshire Round is one of seventeen across the region and will be at Wellingborough Golf Club on 21st March 2013. The three person winning team will then compete at the National Finals at Staverton Park in Daventry in May. The teams from each round who raise the most for the appeal will also enter a separate competition on the same day.

Moulton Academy Course Manager Nicky Milford said:

“This is a fantastic opportunity for the students to raise money for a well worth charity by participating in a sport that they love. They are really enthusiastic about the event and are already being very competitive, not only about which team will win but who will raise the most money!

The competition will be very fierce. Some of our students play at a very high standard including the current  Northamptonshire Junior County Champion Jack Brown who went on to come fourth in the National Champion of Champions and Emily-Mae Hall who is in the England Golf Futures Programme.”

The results of the regional event and amount of money raised will be announced both on the Moulton College and BHF websites shortly after the competition on 21st March.
