Curriculum Coordinator – Animal Welfare

Moulton are looking to add an additional Curriculum Coordinator into our Animal Welfare team. The College’s Animal Welfare facilities at the Moulton Campus encompass a purpose built Animal Welfare Centre, an Animal Therapy Centre housing grooming and canine hydrotherapy units and an on-site commercial veterinary practice. Students studying Animal Management programmes are also taught on the College estate and are given the opportunity to be involved with animal related activities to enhance their educational journey.

Working alongside another Curriculum Coordinator this position provides to supervision and guidance to a diverse team of Lecturers delivering a range of curriculum. You will contribute to the development of new curriculum and support the achievement of high quality teaching and standards across the area. This will be achieved through supportive observations and facilitating CPD activities. The post holder will be heavily involved in quality assurance for the Animal Welfare subject area and be actively involved the development of Teaching, Learning and Assessment.

Successful applicants must have a broad range of knowledge and industry experience working with a wide range of animals, including small mammals, exotics and large animals. Post holder should have an excellent knowledge base in Animal Health, Biology, Behaviour, Nutrition and Welfare and have experience working with young people.

The post holder should hold a degree level qualification in this field, in addition to a wealth of industry experience. The candidate should ideally hold a teaching and assessment qualification or be willing to work towards this.
