We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our Finance team and oversee a team of staff providing core financial services.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations associated with a busy college and a range of commercial enterprises. This will involve the line management of four staff and supporting them to effectively engage with stakeholders. You will produce regular management reports including the statutory and monthly management accounts, and update the monthly finance dashboards. You will plan and deliver the annual Business Planning & Budget process liaising with budget holders and preparing draft outcomes for review. You will be required to assist with the year-end close down processes and the production of the year-end group accounts and assist in the documenting and review of all funding streams.
For the full requirements of the role, please see the Job Description and Person Specification.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing people in a professional finance team. You will need to hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA in addition to a degree. You will have experience of a range of core financial processes including preparation of monthly and year-end accounts; creating accurate and informative financial reports and of working with those who are not finance specialists. You will be an excellent written and verbal communicator, be highly organised and be comfortable working to deadlines. Our business is a 24/7 operation and as such the ability to adapt to meet changing demands and business priorities is essential. Whilst not essential, previous experience of working in an educational setting and of the Aptos finance system would be an advantage.
For the full requirements of the role, please see the Job Description and Person Specification.
