The Equestrian Centre at Moulton College is a purpose built equestrian facility that provides a high quality learning environment for both Further Education and Higher Education Equestrian Studies students.

Practical Resources

Our main yard consists of 26 stables with tack and storage rooms; wash bay that includes cross ties with shower; solarium and laundry area; while we also have an array of discipline specific tack and equipment for student use.

For ridden and ground schooling sessions the Equestrian Centre boasts a 60m x 40m indoor arena with landscape mirrors, galleried seating, commentary box and PA System; a competition size floodlit outdoor arena; a full set of BS approved show jumps along with a cross country schooling paddock.

Commercial Experience

In order to provide experience to students in a commercial setting, all of our students complete a number of hours assisting on the yard, managing and caring for our herd of College horses. Students follow a duty rota and routine assisting with yard chores at the beginning and end of each working day, in addition to assisting for full days at the weekends.

Horses used by our students for both practical and ridden sessions are carefully selected by our team of experts and are either owned by the College or are on working livery or loan agreements. Our horses provide a variety of experiences to our students with diverse backgrounds across the disciplines allowing our students plenty of opportunities to develop their skills.
