We strongly believe that it is never too late to learn and each year we welcome over 2,000 adults back to College, either to enhance their skills in their current job role or to completely retrain for a new career.

Our stunning campus and excellent facilities create an ideal environment for anyone looking to learn, whether you're looking to achieve a qualification, gain a certificate of competence or just learn for fun!

Short Courses

Our short courses are ideal to develop your skills or keep your current qualifications up-to-date within your current job role. We run our short courses throughout the year and some of them are online, enabling you to better balance your studies around your other work and family commitments.

Part Time Courses

Our part time courses are designed to enhance your skills in your current job role, to completely retrain for a new career, or learn more about a subject you are passionate about!

FAQs

To apply for a part-time course you need to be 19 or over by the 31st August of the year you are applying.

Some of our part-time courses do have specific entry requirements. Please see individual course pages for details.

Some of our courses require a short telephone interview or an assessment day with a member of our teaching team. This is to ensure that the course you have applied for is the most suitable option for you. This will be very informal. We will review your previous experience or grades, and check that the course will help you achieve your long‑term goals.

Yes, your company would need to provide written authorisation before you are able to enrol and start the course.

Yes, we may be able to offer short instalment plans, depending upon the length of the course. To secure your place you will still need to pay a non-refundable deposit and have an agreed payment plan in place.

Depending on course funding, your circumstances, address and age on the first day of your course, you may be eligible for help with your fees. This is called Fee Remission. Details will be sent once you have made an application and proof of your circumstances will be required so that we can accurately assess your eligibility.

This depends on which course you are studying. Check out the details on each individual course page.

Yes, attendance has a direct effect on your achievement therefore absences should be kept to a minimum. Low attendance may result in you being withdrawn from your course.

Our courses may require some course specific clothing and / or equipment, details would be confirmed during your enrolment process.

Assessments or exams normally take place throughout the year for part-time courses but there does not tend to be a ‘final’ exam.

Our courses do have limited numbers and are offered on a first come, first serve basis from date of payment / funding application. All of our courses are subject to minimum recruitment numbers and we reserve the right to cancel a course if these numbers are not met.
