Our Level 3 Technical Diploma in Floristry is designed to take your creativity and commercial understanding to the next level. Our course will provide you with the skills and theoretical grounding to take your career in the Floristry business to the next level - whether that's joining an Event Management Consultancy or starting your own business.

Our Floristry students have access to an exciting range of specialist resources at the College. Our Floristry workshops are fitted with industry-standard cold storage, display areas and photography areas. You will take advantage of our ornamental grounds containing a wide range of fauna.

Guided by our specialist staff and expert guest lecturers you’ll learn fundamental skills to create artistic displays and develop a detailed understanding of the industry. Due to our strong industry links you will also have the opportunity to take part in industry visits and in industry competitions including FleurEx where you will learn and develop practical skills that will be vital for your future in floristry.

Guided by our expert lecturers you will further advance your skills in floral arrangement and design. You will have the opporuntiy to put together arrangements for large functions such as weddings. Additionally through theoretical and practical learning you will develop the necessary skills to successfully run a florist or stall, along with the business aspects of floristry retail.

This is a full time course taking place on three days per week from 9.00am - 4:30pm. There will be a mix of practical and theoretical work which are split into 1 hour - 1.45 hour lessons. You will have regular breaks including a lunch break.

Vocational and professional qualifications are taught through college based theory and practical lessons with further learning and understanding developed via directed self-study. Assessment consists of internally set coursework and assignments, although some professional and vocational qualifications may require the achievement of externally set assessments.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge leading to opportunities such as a foundation degree or employment as a commercial florist, event florist, wedding florist, balloon artist, interior landscaper, freelance florist or event planner

A Level 2 qualification in floristry or substantial work experience in a related industry.
