HE Learning Support

Higher Education Learning Support offers development of study strategies and guidance on disability support. All students are welcome to discuss support to help you make the transition to studying at degree level.

Studying at university level is a bit different to college or school and Higher Education Learning Support offers small group and individual support to help you adjust.

We can help you to:

  • Make effective notes
  • Understand assignment guidelines and criteria
  • Write reports
  • Structure essays
  • Understand how to research and reference
  • Give spoken presentations and develop presentation skills
  • Manage your time and learn organisational skills
  • Revise and learn exam techniques
  • Brush up on grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Study skills resources are also available on Moodle and support can be online as well as face to face.

Access to support helped me to ensure assignments were as accurate as possible and the on-going support helped me to organise and prioritise tasks and assignments for all accessed modules.

Accessing support

We encourage you to tell us about your particular needs when you apply. This information helps us to make the right arrangements for you and provide the best possible support, making sure that your experience at Moulton College is a positive one.

Once you are at the College you can find the Service on the ground floor of HE Centre.

Academic support has really helped me improve my confidence when submitting assignments. It is also a reassuring process as you know what to improve with your assignment, so there is less stress thinking about the assignment after the submission process.
