College farm opens up for Open Farm Sunday (9 June 2024)

Friday 12 April 2024

On Sunday 9 June, farms across Britain will be opening their gates to the public for farming’s annual open day. Open Farm Sunday offers visitors the chance to see farming with nature at first hand, to discover where their food comes from, how it is produced and to meet the people responsible – the farmers!

Moulton College will also be using the event to educate visitors about how we train our students to work in the agriculture and wider land-based sector and to highlight how we work with nature, educating our students on sustainability and ecofriendly farming practices.

On the day the farm management team, agriculture lecturers and students will be on hand to tell visitors about the farming industry and what is being done to care for the countryside. There will be tours of the farm, a chance to meet some of our sheep and cattle and also a display of farming equipment. There will also be an activity area for young children so that they can come away with a greater understanding of farming and the countryside.

Places are limited so visitors must book using the link below.
