This time of year would usually be busy with lots of different events on campus, showcasing the range of courses and facilities on offer. Whilst the events calendar looks very different this year, it hasn’t stopped staff at Moulton from working together to ensure potential students are supported in making an informed choice after GCSEs.
Susan Titmuss, Marketing Manager said:
“The response to our online event has been incredible. Numbers of prospective new students who pre-registered to watch was 137% more than this same event last year! Over 400 unique page visits were made to our website throughout the day and it was great to see so many people taking an interest in studying at the College. It really shows the appetite for online events such as these and it’s something we’ll definitely be looking into running again.”
The event, which took place from 10.00am until 9.00pm on Tuesday 9 June included a series of presentations from each of the subject areas, live Q&A sessions, careers advice and virtual tours around the campus.
“We wanted to try and replicate our usual open day experience as much as possible so that potential students could get a feel for the college and be able to ask tutors any questions about the courses. Over 200 hours of College content was watched in total across our virtual event, enabling students to experience a little bit of Moulton from behind their screens!”
The College is now busy processing the applications received following the event, conducting interviews by telephone so that students know they have a place to study in September.
