Moulton College continues to flourish despite covid-19 challenges

Thursday 8 October 2020

It has been a difficult year for many organisations however; Moulton College is celebrating growth in excess of 20% after an overwhelming demand for students wanting to enrol and study at its Moulton and Higham Ferrers campuses this year.

Following the appointment of a new senior leadership team a year ago, there has been a strong focus on providing an exceptional student experience. This has meant that the College now has in excess of 1,900 full-time students compared to 1,500 last year.

“We are delighted to be welcoming so many new students to Moulton College this September,” said Corrie Harris, Principal and CEO. “We are an ambitious organisation and we are very much focussed on the needs of each and every one of our students. We have developed a safe and secure environment that promotes personal well-being and we are committed to providing an exceptional and personalised student experience, which prepares each individual with the skills for work, life and success. We are pleased that the benefits of studying at Moulton have attracted both new and returning students."

In addition to the significant increase in student enrolments, the College is also celebrating a fabulous year in terms of student achievement.

“During the last 12 months we have quite rightly focused on ensuring that as many of our students as possible achieve their qualification with us. Despite the challenges presented by the Covid pandemic, we were able to maintain the excellent progress made before the lockdown, switch our teaching to online to achieve pass rates above sector benchmark levels.

“I look forward to continuing to build on the substantial success we have already achieved at Moulton as we start to look forward to our Centenary celebrations next summer.”
