Gabriel Owiredu - HE Lecturer, Construction and the Built Environment

Meet Gabriel, our HE Lecturer in Construction and the Built Environment, who joined Moulton College in February 2025.

Gabriel brings with him over 17 years of teaching experience, having previously worked at Bedford College and Kumasi Technical University. His areas of expertise include construction technology, surveying, and project management. He’s also been involved in coordinating estate management and industrial placements, giving students practical insights alongside academic instruction.

In addition to his teaching career, Gabriel has worked as a construction project management advisor and consultant. He is an active member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) and the Ghana Institute of Construction (GIOC), and has a strong research background, particularly in GIS applications such as ArcView.

What Gabriel enjoys most about teaching at Moulton is the supportive team environment and the opportunity to share his real-world knowledge in a way that’s meaningful for students.

It’s great to help learners apply industry practices to their studies in a collaborative setting.

Gabriel Owiredu

One of his most rewarding moments so far has been helping a group of students complete their assignments three weeks ahead of schedule—an achievement made possible through excellent teamwork and dedication.

Outside of work, Gabriel enjoys watching movies, following European football, and taking an active role in his church community, where he serves as part of the leadership team.
