Kim joined the College in 2023 and leads the Careers Guidance activities, helping students find their career path and next steps beyond their studies.
She started out studying Theatre in Education at degree level before working with theatre companies as part of Government funded projects to develop careers support within secondary schools in fun and inciteful ways.
Since then, Kim has worked in a number of FE colleges, supporting students both from a pastoral aspect and within careers guidance.
I enjoy supporting young people achieve their career aspirations. Helping students to develop their employability skills, make informed decisions about their next steps and progression is such a rewarding part of my job. It is often the case that students are unaware of the opportunities surrounding them – to help play a role in developing their skills and knowledge, raise aspirations and awareness is something that puts a big smile on my face.
