Stacey is our Sports Massage Therapy Lecturer and has 16 years teaching experience within a secondary school setting and was also an elite Gymnastics and trampoline coach for many years leading up to teaching.
Alongside teaching Stacey studied at the North London school of sports massage, where she was lucky enough to do placements with Wasps and sacrcens Rugby team and regular treatments for the Middlesex dance students. Once qualified was a mobile massage therapist for over 18 years, of which she has treated many athletes and clients from the general public with soft tissue dysfunction, and support rehabilitation plans to help clients manage injury prevention and treatments.
I enjoy seeing students develop their passions for the manual and remedial therapies and develop the skills and knowledge they need to either progress onto Higher Education or access their dream jobs within the sports massage industry. Also, it's a joy to see learners mature over the years and become more confident well-rounded individuals that are ready and enthused for the next steps in their lives.
Stacey has had many memorable moments whilst working here at Moulton, but she particularly enjoys having multiple students who have come through the massage course, been nominated and won student of the year awards. "It's rewarding to see students being successful, then gaining jobs within their chosen field". She prides herself on her teaching and learning practices, and this was recognised college wide in 2023 when Stacey won the 'Innovative Teaching Award', along with achieving TLA status within her wider job role at the college.
Outside of work Stacey's passions, other than spending time her family, would include musical theatre, ariel fitness classes such as yoga trapeze, hoops and silks. However, her "geekiest passion is that I'm a totally obsessed with anything Disney and Lego!"
