The employer is looking for individuals who can work well in a fast-paced environment, working well independently and as part of a team. Working on site will mean that health and safety is a vital part of the role, therefore the successful candidates will need to be professional and responsible. There will be the occasional need to stay away on jobs though this is subsidised additionally to a wage.
Candidates should also:
· Be passionate about construction and bricklaying

If required to stay overnight on jobs they will get a disbursement of £50.00 per evening for an evening meal in addition to their wage.

Rugby based restaurant are looking to recruit an Apprentice Commis Chef to support us as our business continues to grow.
The Tuning Fork is an eighty-seater restaurant on a new build community in Houlton Rugby, just off the M1.
The Tuning Fork opened its doors in March 2017 and our business has gone from strength to strength.
Our success over the last 6 years, we believe, is due to our focus on a sourcing policy that insists on high-welfare local producers: sustainable seafood, locally farmed meat, sourdough from a local artisan bakery.
Any food waste we have is turned into energy and sold back to the National Grid.
We bake all of our own cakes & pastries in house.
Breakfast might be a chia pancakes or eggs on herby avocado with nutty Egyptian dukkha spice seasoning: lunch is burgers, burritos, tarts, salads and we always have a selection of ‘Specials’ on the menu daily.
We open on 2 evenings a week; Friday & Saturday night when we serve a selection of steaks, Asian, European & traditionally English fayre.

Professional bakery apprentices at Geary’s would be part of an experienced, passionate team, proud of every product we make and raising the bar for quality. We want individuals who are as passionate about baking as we are.
As a Bakery Apprentice, you would be responsible for ensuring the delicious bread we produce and package is of the best possible quality, that adds a spark of joy to people’s daily lives. Your main responsibilities would include:
- Mixing various doughs to specification, learning to see and feel what good looks like.
- Learning correct dough handling and moulding techniques.
- Checking product proof times and heights to deliver the same quality, every time.
- Setting oven temperatures according to product specification, and load/unload ovens.
- Checking products for quality and identify where a product is out of spec’.
- Observing colour of products being baked and adjust oven temperatures/times accordingly.
- Checking equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations, and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary.
